The Omelas Institute conducts wide-ranging research within the broad remit of social enquiry.

Our research aims to present the reader with a rigorous and balanced array of facts to allow for the independent formation of a grounded opinion. To this end, we seek to draw on, synthesize and make accessible information taken from a broad range of sources. These sources will be referenced in reports and, where appropriate, in articles. Thematic bibliographies will be published periodically, and recommendations regarding further reading and resources can be requested from individual members using the contact form.

There are currently five standing areas of research:

Research in each of these areas is headed by an individual associate, but work is also done collaboratively within the Institute.

Publications resulting from the research of the Institute are available to read and download here.
