Rebecca Durkin

Associate in Inequality

Rebecca Durkin is a political activist based in the United Kingdom.

Durkin read History at Lincoln College, Oxford.

While at Oxford, she was Chair of the Oxford Living Wage Campaign, working to ensure all staff and employees of the University and Colleges were paid a living wage, i.e. a salary sufficient to live with dignity in Oxford.

Durkin’s undergraduate thesis was on the female friendly society movement in West Yorkshire, looking at the opportunities this created for working-class women’s agency in the nineteenth century. She has an interest in class politics in Latin America.
